Each fraternity at Mizzou has their own core values and offers unique experiences. Potential new members can join two ways. Regardless of you choose to join the IFC community, you must create a CampusDirector account and follow all alcohol-free guidelines.

Formal

Formal recruitment is a 5-day process that occurs the week before classes begin. Potential New Members (PNMs) will visit with all IFC organizations and have the opportunity for follow-up visits with chapters of their choosing.

Informal

The informal recruitment process occurs all year long with the exception of the formal recruitment days. The informal recruitment process involves more direct communication with chapters.

Formal recruitment registration is $35.

The formal recruitment process begins with an orientation. Here you will meet your Rho Gamma group and receive an overview of the process. The following two days are rotating visits between chapters. The third day is another visit day involving 8 chapters you have chosen in a mutual selection process. The final day is bid day where you will view your bid(s) to join an organization.

Yes. We work closely with the Honors College to ensure that you are able to attend events throughout the week. If you are in the Honors College or have additional scheduling conflicts during recruitment please email IFCRecruitment@missouri.edu.

A Rho Gamma is a recruitment guide. A Rho Gamma’s role is to serve the IFC community via formal recruitment and membership education and development. The individuals selected for these positions will be trained in many aspects of what it means to be a fraternity man, as well as the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life and the university at large. The responsibilities of these positions will start in the spring semester and end towards the close of the fall semester, including the summer for formal recruitment.
