Circle of Sisterhood
The Circle of Sisterhood Foundation will leverage the collective wisdom and influence of sorority women to raise financial resources for entities around the world that are removing educational barriers for girls and women facing poverty and oppression.
To date, the Circle has changed the lives of girls and women on four continents in 12 different countries.
Circle of Sisterhood at Mizzou
The University of Missouri Panhellenic Associated adopted the Circle of Sisterhood as the council wide philanthropy. In fall 2013, the Panhellenic Association fundraised the remaining funds needed to complete the school. The school was built in Nicaragua. Mizzou sorority women made the trek to the school’s building site in June, 2014. The program has since grown to have ambassadors from 14 different chapters in 2015.
How Do I Get Involved?
Apply to be an ambassador! Applications are due Friday December 4 by 5 p.m.
During each semester, Mizzou Circle of Sisterhood will host general meetings every other Tuesday at 6pm in Tate 101 to educate sorority women about the Circle. Mizzou Panhellenic and Mizzou Circle of Sisterhood are thrilled to have the opportunity to build a school in an underdeveloped country and to help change the lives of many women. If you have questions about getting involved, please contact us at email@example.com. Meeting information will be posted on Twitter, so follow us at @CofS_Mizzou.

Donate To Our Cause!
To fundraise the remaining amount needed to build a school, Mizzou Panhellenic will host a different fundraising event each month. In August, during formal recruitment preparations, Panhellenic will host a movie night showing Girl Rising. All the potential new members will also learn about the Circle of Sisterhood in their morning meetings during recruitment. Throughout recruitment preparations the week before as well as formal recruitment, Circle of Sisterhood is hoping to set up different profit-share deals across town so women can eat out and a portion of the proceeds will go back to Circle of Sisterhood.
